I was in a really bad place a couple of months ago, but I feel like I’ve come a long way and feel better prepared moving forward now knowing CBT techniques.
Ever since I have started CBT sessions I have learnt to cope with my anxiety, worries and sadness. It has done me really well and now I have become more confident with my learning difficulties and all my weaknesses.
When I started my CBT journey I had extremely low self esteem and no confidence in myself although I hadn’t realised this before I started. Chris was able to identify and help me with strategies to use. I had issues around work especially around report writing, this had become an enormous issue that made me ill. With Chris’s help this was turned around and I was able to go forward. In my personal life I felt I had no life and I was not worthy. Which Chris and I worked on and I was able to reflect that I was worthy and needed to get out and enjoy life.
I booked to see Chris for CBT as I suffered from anxiety and low mood . She soon sorted me out with her kindness, understanding, practical suggestions and good advice . Time to talk !
She changed my way of thinking about my anxiety and helped to clear my mind. I can now move on as I feel far more relaxed and happy.

Before seeing Chris I thought I would never feel myself again. I was wrong. Chris has helped me view my thoughts more clearly and in a much more helpful way. Thought records have particularly helped me unpick my unhelpful thinking, reducing my anxiety and therefore allowing me to move on with my life. I am in a better place now and I will continue to use CBT strategies to help me deal with unhelpful thoughts that arise in the future.

I was feeling at an all time low when I came to my first session, admittedly with a lot of doubts with preconceptions and notions of what to expect. I cannot stress enough how important my sessions with Chris have been. Every hour I have spent with her has profoundly changed both my poor perception of myself and my ability to see things clearly. I am able to look back on past ‘mistakes’ and see them as I should have been able to at the time. I can look forward now with positivity. I have self worth. When I first started with Chris I had low self esteem and was lacking confidence in myself. I couldn’t deal with any stressful situations without getting into a panic. I have learnt to think about why I am feeling a certain way and change that just by altering the way I view the situation. CBT has helped me so much in such a short time. I’ve done things I didn’t think I could.
I sought help because I was feeling anxious all the time. I felt overwhelmed and as a result I was less productive, which further fuelled my anxiety. Simply just meeting with Chris and starting to talk about it all helped, but learning about how my thinking patterns and unhelpful thoughts has really made a difference. I feel I have a way to think about my thoughts and expectations in a much more helpful way. Even within a few sessions I feel more relaxed, just because I know how to manage how Im feeling.
