Being Anxious is really no fun at all! It engulfs your life and makes you feel exhausted from going over your problems and your lack of sleep. Through CBT techniques I can teach you how to manage your worries and fears and look at problems in more helpful ways. Many of my clients have suffered from Anxiety and now say CBT changed their life for the better and the future looks good now.

I believe I have suffered Anxiety/depression for most of my 54 years. A lot of challenges in life that I felt I had dealt with, seemed to surface almost 8 weeks ago. I was scared, bewildered, confused, shaking, crying and struggling to put a sentence together. I was taken to the doctor immediately, who gave me Beta-blockers and a number to ring the Let’s Talk team – all they could offer me was group sessions two months later, the same could be said of Gloucestershire Counselling service, even though I had already paid a £45 fee with the promise of being contacted 48 hours later (this never happened!).

So two weeks later, signed off work and still a total wreck, I looked on the internet and came across Chris’ website – reading her testimonials and seeing her photo was enough for me. I emailed her and got a very quick reply asking if I would like to go the next day – perfect, somebody can help me when I most need help!

I was very nervous going for my first session, but an hour later, came out already on the road to a brighter future! I felt as though Chris totally understood me and my thought process. The things she suggested, made me feel like she could read my mind – she ‘got me’, she understood!

Best of all, Chris was able to teach me how to turn situations around, to challenge them, to find evidence and to think very differently.

After five sessions with Chris, I finally like myself, I have a more positive outlook, I have put some past issues in their right place (wrapped up and tucked away), I have stopped blaming myself for other peoples actions and life in general looks so much better.

I know that I will be using Chris’ techniques whenever I need to for the rest of my life, but now I feel able to do that, one step at a time.

Best of all, after almost 8 weeks away from a job I love, I am returning to work next week!! I feel elated!
