- My anger was out of control and I would flip easy. Now I bust let it go and run ahead . I’ve learnt I can deal with things without losing my rag. It’s good to get enough anger out of my system in a safe way. I’ve gone back to being happy go lucky. I look to deal with others that used to bother me and look at it differently. Now I just focus on what’s important my kids.
- CBT techniques discussed with Chris have really helped me deal with anger issues, which had affected me for ages prior to seeking her support. I can now spot the signs and better control my anger emotions- I’m far more in control of my reactions thanks to CBT.
*I went to see Chris as I believed I had really bad anger issues, mostly because other people told me I did. I looked online to research the best way to crack my anger once and for all and CBT come up. I looked into local CBT and came across Chris. I read her testimonials and she seemed to be someone I was looking for who could help me be relaxed and speak freely. as soon as I had my first session I knew that it wasn’t your typical crying to a councillor talking about your issues, it was completely different, more relax, more of a conversation between me and Chris and working out plans of how to crack all of the things that were making me the way I was.
The first session with Chris was a huge eye opener as she said I suffered with anxiety. I had in the past thought attention seekers on social media only doubt with anxiety but when Chris explained what it was and how I suffered with it I knew straight away that she was right and I had it quite bad.
I discovered upon sessions with Chris that my anxiety had lead me to extreme worry which made me put barriers up and once barriers were broken with people closest to me the anger came out. I discovered the route cause of this worry and anger and we together looked at ways of coping and talking my way out of none existing situations that I made up in my head. We also looked at ways of saying no to people and to not feel guilt about situations that can’t be avoided and not feeling responsible for everyone and everything.
Chris has helped me feel better about myself, I have not had a temper rage since my 6 sessions have ended and I feel a lot calmer and completely in control of my emotions. Whenever I think something bad in my head is going to happen I can talk myself out of it really well and be able to control my emotions.
Everyone has seen the difference in me and I would 100% recommended Chris and her CBT to absolutely anyone. I think everyone needs a bit of brain retrain!
